My Philosophy of Practice has evolved over
20 years of clinical experience into 4 basic guidelines: 1)
Conservative treatment; 2) Provide only the best; 3) There
are always options; 4) Treat patients with respect.
Conservative Treatment:
Frequently I have seen problems which have been created through
over-treatment, or the latest "wonder" treatment.
In an attempt to offer leading-edge care, providers can get
ahead of themselves at the patient's expense. This has directed
me over time to treat patients in a conservative manner. Listen
to the patients' concerns, and limit treatment to their needs,
not my own. Our basic premise has always been prevention,
not treatment.
Provide Only the Best:
Provide only the best in service, materials, equipment. Over
two hundred new items, materials, and treatments are introduced
annually. No more than 3 to 4 of these become the standard
of care. Most are discarded after 2 to 3 years or when mistakes
happen. In order to provide "only the best", so-called
new techniques must be given time to be proven. To provide
real advantages which will benefit patients in the long run.
I will always wait for confirmation prior to introduction
on my patients. I will not experiment with your valuable health.
Putting you first is absolutely essential.
There Are Always Options:
Everyone has options. Options for treatment, options for materials,
option of non-treatment. You will be fully informed of all
options, risks, benefits, new treatments, and standards. What
looks best. What works best. What lasts longest. As much information
as you desire.

I will always hold myself to the highest standard,
work hard to do the best possible job, keep you comfortable,
and make you aware of what's happening and why. |
